My name is Paul, I am sixty one years old and I have been married to Dawn for forty one years. I have two sons and four grandchildren. My career has been in the building trade since I left school at sixteen. In 1993 I became the Pastor of the Beacon Christian Centre and my life took a different direction. In 2007, I started to retrain as a counsellor therapist to aid my pastoral work. Ten years later, I am qualified to a supervision level, and since retiring from Pastoral work I now work full time in private practice as a Person Centred Counsellor and Supervisor. It is common for people to struggle overcoming the stigma of therapy, but it has become my privilege to see many experience positive – sometimes life changing – results.
